Who is she?

Nicky Gould is a children’s author from Rayleigh, Essex. 

She was inspired to write her debut book 'Dave Explores the Outdoors… Minibeasts' embracing the family's passion for being outside.

What started as a nice thing to do for her daughter soon turned into a blossoming career due to the overwhelming, wonderful feedback from readers.

Nicky has always worked in administration and payroll job roles and stumbled into writing like a toddler stumbles over their feet, and by doing so she finally feels like she's found her purpose in life.

Aware of the many financial burdens upon families, she's conscious of creating story themes which are inclusive to all budgets – there are no costs to replicating the outside adventures her characters enjoy.

In her spare time, Nicky can be found enjoying life with her family and friends, snuggled up on the sofa watching a film or sitting in a café or pub – penning away.

She hopes her stories will educate, empower and inspire children and their grown-ups.
